As the match with South Sydney Rabbitohs and Panthers was on the line during the NRL game of 17 March 2018 at Penrith Stadium. News has emerged of Greg Inglis captain of Rabbitohs allegedly racially getting abuse during the match day in Penrith Stadium.
The Panthers announced a statement regarding the allegation had made, and the club will look into the matter. The club CEO Brian Fletcher said
“Panthers has been made aware of an allegation of racial abuse directed at South Sydney player Greg Inglis by a member of the crowd at Panthers Stadium yesterday,”

“I wish to make it clear our club does not tolerate this kind of behaviour in any form. We will work with the NRL to investigate the matter and any perpetrators will be swiftly dealt with.”
“Our club apologises unreservedly to Greg Inglis for the upset caused by the alleged incident.”
The incident occurred when Greg Inglis got booed by the crowd and told him “Black dog” when he left the field after getting the injury in the game. The NRL boss Todd Greenberg said
“I give the Panthers club, people like Brian Fletcher and Phil Gould an enormous wrap for working effectively round the clock for the last 48 hours, trying to find this culprit,”
And added
“And if we do, we’ll throw the book at him.
“The message is simple: we don’t tolerate that sort of behaviour. Nor does community, or rugby league, more specifically.
The NRL Boss Todd Greenberg noted
“I reckon Greg will be hurting. I applaud him for his actions and hopefully they find the perpetrator and kick him out for life.”
