Sgt. Ben Hoster said police also concluded that when a male roommate of the victim returned to the residence Friday, he heard gunshots. And just moments later, Mr. Haeger emerged with a handgun from the victim’s apartment. In a statement, Mr. Hoster said,
Haeger then pointed the handgun at the roommate. The roommate quickly escaped out of the back of the residence, and he was able to get a neighbor to call 911,
The woman was found dead by the police in her apartment.
