Randi Trew is the fiancée of American basketball coach Chris Beard. Mr. Beard, the former head coach of Texas Tech Men’s Basketball, released a statement on Monday after confirming his transition to the University of Texas on Thursday, April 1.
Beard thanked everyone involved in the basketball program’s progress from his tenure as an assistant coach to the last five years as head coach in a tweet on Twitter.

During a press conference on Friday, Beard was formally introduced as the next head men’s basketball coach at UT. He admitted that leaving Texas Tech was difficult, but that he would always be thankful for his time in Lubbock.
