Capture as a hostage, Amanda Lindhout spent 450 days in a room without a window. The captors brutally abused her and Nigel Brennan.
They also demanded ransoms for their freedom. Eventually, both of them got out of that place safely. At the end of the interview, she said,
“I have learned a lot about strength and survival, and every time I have the opportunity to share that, there is healing in that for me,”
