One of the contestants on the 20th season of the show The Voice, Pia Renee was a member of the Team Legend. She is a vocalist and bassist who refers to herself as a Love servant.
During the semifinals, however, she was unable to avoid being eliminated. Ms. Renee performed Bob Marley and Lauryn Hill’s “Turn Your Lights Down Low.”

Season 20 of The Voice has been an emotional roller coaster for Pia Renee. Her mother passed during the competition. Before the performance, she cried while talking about her mother. Ms. Renee said,

Pia Renee was born and raised on Chicago’s Westside, where she discovered her musical talent at the age of six. As the oldest of eight siblings, Pia was mainly raised by her grandmother, who instilled in her a passion for music.
Her talent was lost under the problems of a tumultuous childhood due to a lack of encouragement and support. She didn’t start pursuing her dream of being a professional musician until she was in her early twenties.

In Training, her debut EP, features five songs she wrote and was produced by her musical collaborator Andrew David. Pia’s second EP, Enmity, featured a more diverse production team, but she remained the album’s sole songwriter.
