Aram Mirkazemi was born in 1962 in Iran. Aram Mirkazemi fled to Australia from Iran when he was an 18-year-old as a refugee and at that time he did not know a single word of English.
In the late 1970s, Aram Mirkazemi was not able to receive a decent education due to the dysfunctionality of all systems in Iran following the revolution.
Growing up in Iran, Aram Mirkazem wanted to become a mathematics teacher because he had a huge interest in maths and wanted to be a mathematics professor. Mirkazemi completed an engineering course at a university in Hobart within six weeks of joining the university.
Mirkazem was accepted by the university as he passed all the first-year subjects.
Aram was hired by Altium Limited founder Nick Martin in 1991 to work as a Director of Research and Development. Mirkazem was a member of Altium Limited board from 1992-2000.
Altium Limited develops and sells computer software for the design of electronic products in Worldwide. Mirkazem left Altium in 2000 to explore web-based software system and on the same year, Aram Mirkazem and Shahram Besharati founded Morfik Technology in Hobart, Tasmania, Australia which was later on acquired by Altium Limited in November 2010.
