Singer-songwriter Nick Cave lost his son Arthur Cave over three years ago. The reminiscence of the tragedy is re-surfacing once again in the media.

One of his fans from the US wrote an emotional letter to Nick Cave telling how the departed family members communicate with her.

The question reads,

“I have experienced the death of my father, my sister, and my first love in the past few years and feel that I have some communication with them, mostly through dreams. They are helping me. Are you and Susie feeling that your son Arthur is with you and communicating in some way?”

Before meeting his death, Arthur Cave was having a good time with his friends near southern English coastline.

He even paused to take a selfie near a windmill and sent the photo to his school classmate on Snapchat. Arthur Cave’s selfie sent on 3.40pm on Tuesday, July 15, 2015, became the last token for this world.

Nearly two hours later, Arthur Cave was found at the base of an 18-meter i.e. 60ft cliff in Ovingdean Gap in Brighton, East Sussex. He was heavily injured and died in the middle of treatment on Royal Sussex County Hospital.

Arthur Cave cause of death, as reported by news sources, was the intake of Lysergic acid diethylamide (LCD). Arthur and his friends had decided to try the drug for the first time but, the decision ended in tragedy.

LCD is a hallucinogenic drug and its effects generally incorporate altered thoughts, feelings, and awareness of one’s surroundings.

Though Arthur Cave’s cause of death is obviously a fall from the cliff, sources claim that the incident occurred when Arthur was still under the drug’s influence.

Following Arthur’s tragic death, Cave’s family released a statement saying,

“Our son Arthur died on Tuesday evening. He was our beautiful, happy loving boy. We ask that we be given the privacy our family needs to grieve at this difficult time.”
