In 1995, Littlefield completed his graduation from DeSoto High School located in the Dallas suburb of DeSoto. Furthermore, he worked as the facilities and logistics manager at an oil-services firm ‘DeSoto’s Eagle Labs, Inc.’

Chad Littlefield first met Kyle at the soccer field where both of their daughters used to play. Then, the two built a close friendship, finally hanging outside of the soccer field. Afterward, Kyle and Littlefield began working together to help veterans.
While in the process of helping veterans, Chris Kyle met Routh’s mother, who used to work at the school that Kyle’s children attended. She asked him to help her son, Eddie Ray Routh – a U.S. Marine Corps veteran from Lancaster, Texas. Consequently, he chose to take Routh to a shooting range.
Reportedly, Kyle and Littlefield took Routh to the gun range so that they could help him with his post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD).

On February 2, 2013, Chris Kyle and Chad Littlefield cause of death turned out to be a murder. Above all, the incident took place at a shooting range near Chalk Mountain, Texas.
A 25-year old Marine, Eddie Ray Routh, killed both of them – a former Navy SEAL Chris Kyle, age 38, and his friend Chad Littlefield. They were shot dead at the Rough Creek Ranch-Lodge-Resort shooting range in Erath County, Texas.

Ongoing further, the marine killed Kyle with a 45-caliber pistol. Whereas, he killed Littlefield with a 9mm SIG Sauer P226 Mk.25 Mod 0 pistol. However, both of the guns, which took Kyle and Littlefield’s lives, belonged to Kyle.
Moreover, the marine received a life imprisonment from the trial judge, Jason Cashon, without a possibility of parole. Currently, Routh is spending his time in Texas Department of Criminal Justice Powledge Unit which lies near Palestine, Texas.
