David Campese is a former rugby union player who was capped 101 times by the Wallabies and played 85 Tests at wing and 16 at fullback between 1982 and 1996. He was inducted into the Sport Australia Hall of Fame in 1997.
On Saturday night’s match, David’s former team, Wallabies won against France with 33-30 score. After winger Marika Koroibete was given a red card, just five minutes into the game, Wallabies chance of winning was very low. Despite being down a man for 75 minutes, Wallabies defended stoutly and showed progress when their forward pack overpowered the French.
David Campese, a former Wallabies legend, remarked that winning had to become part of their DNA. The only way to do this is to continue to win, which will not be easy. The Wallabies next opponent is the All Blacks. They will face each other on August 7 at Eden Park in Auckland.
