A Little About The Actress
The Australian actress was born on 23rd February 1986 in Melbourne, Australia. She was a very talented child and got the support of both of her parents to pursue her career in acting by providing her with acting and vocational training.
Her first guest appearance was in the police drama series ‘Blue Heelers’ when she was just eight years old. After that, she appeared in the comedy series ‘Full frontal’ and the crime series’ Halifax f.p.’ Her talent got her an opportunity to appear in ten episodes in the English language show for ABC.
Her acting career set off when she successfully bagged the role of Michelle Scully in the Australian soap opera ‘Neighbors’ when she was just thirteen. She had to get an in-set tutor because she was very young at the time and had to focus on her education.
She left the show in 2003, following a brief appearance in the episodes in 2004. She moved on to play the role of Bec Cleary in the police drama ‘Blue Heelers’ the same year. She retired from the life of acting in 2008
The former actress currently works in the Australian recruitment agency called ‘People2people’. The agency is spread throughout Australia.

The 36-year-old former actress has recently revealed that she has been diagnosed with stage four breast cancer. Finding out that you have cancer can be very devasting news. Katie’s friend Ebony Gilbert supported her friend by creating a GoFundme page to raise money to pay for her cancer treatment. The gesture is doing fantastic, as she has already raised about $30,000. Gilbert has mentioned on the page that Katie’s cancer is spreading everywhere, including her hip bones, blood, and lymph nodes.
Along with that, Katie will be starting her chemotherapy and will lose her beautiful blonde hair. With the severity of the treatment, she has been advised to stay home and not stress herself with work. It has also been reported that she will not be able to bear children in the future, which is devastating news for a 36-year-old woman. The former actress, however, hasn’t lost hope and is ready to fight cancer and survive.
