He claimed that if she left Labour, it would lose the “strongest Muslim voice in Parliament” and would be replaced by “another white male”.

Mr Stokes was again in the spotlight on Sunday when Senator Payman gave Insiders a shocking interview in which she vowed to cross the floor again to support Palestine. Senator Payman attended the interview without any political personnel, only her spouse by her side for support.

During the interview, a feisty Senator Payman threatened to cross the floor again to vote with the Greens to support Palestine if necessary. Jacob also remains active on social media posts where he’s been backing his wife and offering his support for Palestine.
