Canadian native Geoff Hart, born to parents Charlie and Barbara, spent the majority of his childhood in England with his four brothers before moving to Fort Lauderdale, Florida as a teenager. His father Charlie passed away in 2008.

As a young soccer fan in the United Kingdom, Geoff rapidly established himself as a placekicker at Cardinal Gibbons High School, earning him a scholarship to Northeastern University in Boston, where he played for the Huskies for four years.
