Jeffrey Gennette also known as Jeff replaces the previous CEO (Chief Executive Officer) of Macy’s Inc., the iconic Cincinnati-based department store, Terry Lundgren. He was elected as CEO on March 23, 2017 Thursday. Previously he was the president of Macy’s Inc. from March 31, 2014 until September 8, 2017.

he also added;
WE ARE WINNING IN CERTAIN BUSINESSES, WE’RE WINNING IN CERTAIN STORES. WE JUST HAVE TO PUT MORE OF THEM ON THE BOARD. YOU KNOW, WE HAD A SOLID SECOND QUARTER. WE HAVE A BIG HALF AHEAD OF US THAT WE HAVE TO SHOW RESULTS.
Former CEO Terry Lundgren said,
“Jeff Gennette is an extraordinary leader who has distinguished himself as a skilled merchant and retail operator.”
He also announced,
“He has worked closely with me over the past two years as president of Macy’s, Inc. in a first step in this succession process, and we are closely aligned on creating a compelling and sustainable path forward.”
Now talking about Jeff Gennette married life and family, Macy’s CEO Jeff has not been vocal about his personal life and has not reveled any details regarding his married life. But if sources are to be believed Macy’s CEO Jeff Gennette lives with his husband and daughter in New York City.

Jeff Gennette graduated from Stanford University. He has 34 years of experience as Macy’s veteran. He joined Macy’s West in the year 1983 as an Executive trainee securing leadership roles and positions of increasing responsibility. He has served as director of stores for Broadway stores and as a store manager for FAQ Schwarz.
Jeff’s tenancy included five years as chief merchandising officer, more than three years as regional CEO and three years as company president. He also served as the chairman of Seattle-based Macy’s North West and executive vice president of stores at Macy’s Central in Atlanta.
