The couple has dealt with fertility issues and used surrogates to carry their children.

Agreement

According to TMZ, Jennifer and her husband Tagg signed a ‘Gestational Carrier Agreement’ with the woman who gave birth to their son Jonathan. A part of the contract read,

‘If in the opinion of the treating physician or her independent obstetrician there is potential physical harm to the surrogate, the decision to abort or not abort is to be made by the surrogate.’

This suggests that, if she was worried about her own life, the Romneys would have no means of stopping the surrogate from getting an abortion.
