As reported by Herald, the former reality TV star was fighting with cancer since April 2016. Initially, he was diagnosed with cancer in the Kidney on Anzac day.
Later on, the cancer tumors started spreading into his lungs and spine. The tragic news about his cancer diagnosis was made public in March 2017 by the Herald on Sunday.
At the beginning of his battle, John Cocks was told he had a maximum of two years to live. And it appears, the estimation was proximately accurate.
Following Cocksy’s death, TVNZ published their heartfelt condolence, writing,
“He was loved by viewers who appreciated his can-do attitude, his honesty, and his warmth.
“Our deepest sympathies are with John’s family and friends.”
