Louise Harris’s husband Russell Watson’s brain tumor was diagnosed in 2006. The artist was diagnosed with a second brain tumor in 2007 following successful treatment.
Mr. Watson previously announced that the second tumor had developed very rapidly and that one night he had a hemorrhage.
Russell Watson told Sky News that he was “lucky to survive.” For the second tumor, the tenor went through five weeks of radiotherapy, during which he said that after his hair fell out and he added weight due to the steroids, he appeared “unrecognizable.”
It was important to remove the tumor from his nose, something that would have destroyed his singing voice. However, Mr. Watson said,
