The American-British influencer Andrew Tate sat with the U.K. broadcaster for his first major TV interview since he was got house arrest in April. Tate was arrested in Romania on December 29, along with his brother, Tristan, and two Romanian nationals, and charged with human trafficking.
Under Romanian law, suspects can also be kept in detention for up to six months without any sort of trial, with the agreement of the Romanian courts. Romanian prosecutors claim that Tate and his brother have forced six women into producing pornography, with the alleged victims facing “acts of physical violence and mental coercion.” It was also reported that Tate had booked with the accused of rape.
