Australian professional Golfer Jarrod Lyle Died Following His Battle With Cancer!

It’s sad to hear that the Australian professional golfer, Jarrod Lyle left the world on Wednesday night.

Jarrod Lyle was battling with cancer for a very long time eventually becoming the cause of his death. And Jarrod Lyle wife shared the last message saying,

“Thanks for your support, it meant the world.”

After spending some time with his family, Jarrod Lyle passed away peacefully. Last week, Jarrod Lyle family announced that he stopped getting treatment for acute myeloid leukemia and begin palliative care.

In the year 1999, he was initially diagnosed as a teenager but cancer resurfaced and he survived by his wife and two daughters. In a statement to Golf Australia, Jarrod Lyle wife said,

“It breaks my heart to tell everyone that Jarrod is no longer with us.”

Also, Jarrod Lyle asked his wife to deliver his last message;

“He asked that I provide a simple message: `Thanks for your support, it meant the world. My time was short, but if I’ve helped people think and act on behalf of those families who suffer through cancer, hopefully, it wasn’t wasted.'”

In the year 2013, Jarrod Lyle beat his cancer for the second time and return to play professionally in Australia as well as on the PGA Tour.

Who are Jarrod Lyle Wife & Children?

After the untimely demise of the professional golfer at age 36, Jarrod Lyle, everyone felt devasted including his wife, Briony, and two kids.

With the cause of death being leukemia, Jarrod Lyle’s body was a total damage by the years of medication before he chose to end treatments.

The PGA TOUR offered a heartfelt sympathy towards Lyle’s family;

“The entire PGA TOUR family offers our heartfelt sympathy to Jarrod’s wife, Briony, and daughters, Lusi and Jemma.”

“We pledge to them that Jarrod will never be forgotten; we will continue to honor his life and legacy, and that includes helping to support the needs of his family in the months and years to come.”

Apart from that, Jarrod Lyle wife Briony in her statement said that she and her two daughters are in grief. And now they must confront their lives without ‘the greatest husband and father’ that they could ever wish for.

Jarrod Lyle married his wife, Briony in December 2011 and the wedding ceremony took place in his grandparent’s backyard in Shepparton. Speaking to Herald Sun, Jarrod Lyle said that his wife benefited his professional career.

Lyle said,

“Getting married has definitely calmed me down a little bit and since the wedding, I’ve felt really good about my game.”

The pair welcomed their first daughter, Lusi, on March 2012 in Victoria. Whereas, Lyle became a father for the second time after the arrival of his another daughter, Jemma in June of 2016.

Australian professional golfer, Jarrod Lyle (21 August 1981 – 8 August 2018) won on the 2008 Nationwide Tour twice. He was born in Shepparton, Victoria, Australia and had a tall height of 1.88m.

When Jarrod Lyle caddied for his father, he started to play golf at six years of age. He was just seventeen years old when he suffered from acute myeloid leukemia. He underwent chemotherapy treatments at the Royal Children’s Hospital.

It took 12 months to recover and to play golf again but it recurred in March 2012. As of 2018, the professional golfer, Jarrod Lyle’s net worth is under review.
