Sherry Pollex is an American businesswoman, she is the co-founder of the non-profit organization called, Martin Truex Jr. Foundation. The Foundation focuses on supporting children with pediatric cancer. Sherry Pollex is also well known for being the long-time girlfriend of Martin Truex Jr. who is a professional stock car racing driver. At present, Martin competes full-time in the NASCAR Cup Series, driving the No. 19 Toyota Camry for Joe Gibbs Racing.
Martin Truex Jr. led the 2021 Federated Auto Parts 400 from the start at Richmond Raceway. He simply had the upper hand by the time the race was over.
He battled his way back to the front, setting up an eight-second lead after the last pit stop and cruising to victory over Denny Hamlin in the second NASCAR Cup Series playoff race of the night on September 11, 2021.
The win is the sixth for Martin in the last 13 short track events, clinching his spot in the Round of 12. After winning, Martin says:

In 2014, Sherry was diagnosed with Stage 3C ovarian cancer. She then had chemotherapy and was able to beat her cancer for the first time. However, there had been some recent changes in Sherry’s health. In Christmas 2020, she was diagnosed with a recurrence of ovarian cancer. She started chemo again in early February.
Sherry and her longtime boyfriend, Martin founded the Martin Truex, Jr. Foundation in 2007 to promote pediatric and ovarian cancer projects. According to NBC Sports, she has also established the Sherry Strong Integrative Medicine Oncology Clinic at the Weisinger Cancer Institute in Charlotte, North Carolina.
