“On July 31, my family received the call you never want to get. My Mom was driving lunch to an employee of her cleaning service when a teenager in a large truck ran a red light and crashed into my Mom’s car.”
“She was airlifted to the hospital with traumatic brain injury, collapsed lungs, ruptured aorta in her heart, ruptured bladder, broken ribs, pelvis, and face fractures. In spite of all that, she is stable, but still unconscious. Although her brain injury is very severe, the doctors have said there’s a chance for long term recovery and I will do whatever it takes to fight for my mom’s life”, he added.
On the latest update, he wrote, “My mom received a tracheostomy yesterday, so she’s off a ventilator. The nurse today said she’s moving a lot and they want to see if they can do some physical rehab for mobility. Sitting up and maybe even stand if possible.
