Barry was the eldest of the Chuckle Brothers. He was 73 years when he died peacefully at his home with friends and families surrounding him suffering from ill health.
Following the painful news, long time Barry’s acting partner and brother, Paul comments
“I’ve not just lost my brother, I’ve lost my theatrical partner of many, many years and my very best friend.”
The brothers were preparing to film a new series “Chuckle Time”. When Barry’s started feeling unwell the filming was canceled and Barry was requested to rest by his doctor. However, he didn’t get any better and eventually died earlier today.
A family statement was made which said:
“There will be no further comment at the moment and it would be much appreciated if the privacy of Barry’s family is respected at this most difficult time.
it further stated;
” It said the star “leaves 50 years of laughter as his legacy, which is something very special.”
Barry’s wife was not available for comment.
