After being crowned as the winner of I’m A Celebrity: Get Me Out Of Here 2018  Fiona O’ Loughlin said;

“I just feel like the luckiest duck alive,”  “Without a doubt the jungle has changed me. I will never take anything for granted again.”

The job of comedians is very difficult as they have to put on a show even if they are going through a lot of hardships. Not all the comedians are capable of doing much except for some.

To tell you the truth, Fiona left her husband Chris in 2012, because she said that the future of her marriage was “still such an unknown.” Also, she moved her location to Melbourne from Alice Spring with her children.

Fiona and her husband split just after she finished filming “Celebrity Apprentice.” She said,

“I was traveling about 80 percent of the year so I’ve got myself a little place in Melbourne to cut down the travel,”

she also added;

“I don’t think people realize the toll the travel took on me and my family.” Fiona is the mother of five children.

While she was going through her struggles with the alcohol addiction and suicide attempt, she revealed that she was supported by her children, ex-husband Chris and sister Kate for helping her out in her darkest moments.

Nowadays, she seems cheerful after going through a lot of struggles. It looks like that she is moving towards her career building slowly. She shared,

“I feel like I’ve just taken another big step forward in stand-up and lightened it up,”

She continued,

“I was really happy with my last tour but it was fairly heavy because it was all about the disgrace of my drinking.”

Nonetheless, let’s hope she does well in her coming days.

Fiona talks about her alcohol abuse and suicide attempts:

An inspiration for many people who have suffered problems like her, Fiona fought death and came back alive from a coma. Not long ago, she was declared to have only 7 percent chance of survival due to carbon monoxide poisoning. She said she’d suffered carbon monoxide from her heater. Carbon monoxide, colorless, odorless and tasteless gas, refers to as ‘Silent Killer’ because it can kill humans without their realizing.

She woke up from two-and-a half-weeks from a coma. She expressed her joy saying,

“This is a new life for me and everything feels really exciting.”

she also said,

“I was given a seven percent chance of life. Guess what? I didn’t die.”

She opened up about her problems after she collapsed on stage during a performance at the Queensland Performing Arts Centre in Brisbane in 2009. Stand-up comedian Fiona tried to attempt suicide but she revealed that she was still alive only because of her youngest daughter.

Fiona said,

“I had gone missing and she (her youngest daughter Mary) just went to the hotel and asked for me and they said, ‘No, she’s not here’.”

she added;

“Mary just knew in her heart that I was there and she would not leave. She described what I looked like and sure enough, I was there.”
