Two British Airways cabin service members were fired yesterday after ridiculing Asian passengers in a video. Holly Walton was caught on camera making slant-eyed movements and saying, “Give me wine.” She captured the film with colleague Lauren Bray before it was widely circulated on TikTok, causing an outcry among other BA employees.

The two have now been brought before the airline’s executives and given their marching orders. ABA crew member said, “This recording is obscene.” To have such bigoted sentiments and then film and share them with the rest of the world is both surprising and stupid.

“This is hugely damaging for the airline and they deserved the axe.”

The footage was taken between flights as the couple was enjoying drinks at the posh Trade Winds hotel in Antigua. They previously served passengers on aircraft BA2157 from Gatwick.

Colleagues claimed they were imitating a Chinese family who spoke minimal English and struggled to be understood while ordering drinks on the crowded vacation trip.

One Asian-born BA employee said:

I’m reeling from seeing this video. It makes me question the airline and my colleagues. Action has to be taken. We won’t stand for it.”

Another said:

“These two women were deliberately laughing at a family who struggled to make themselves understood on a busy flight. This sends out the worst message possible. BA cannot employ anyone with a scintilla of racism. The stupidity of this duo beggars belief.”

Airline executives were obligated to act as soon as they learned about the recording.

Ms Walton, who was in Cancun, Mexico, on another BA round trip, was compelled to fly home as a passenger and face a grilling. On Monday, Ms Bray was seen leaving a meeting at the airline’s headquarters in tears.

Throughout their careers, the couple has posted dozens of images of themselves in British Airways uniform in exotic locations. BA managers are upset about the new incident, having only issued letters to crew members last year to warn them about their social media posts.

Passengers on a flight to Kingston, Jamaica, claimed that staff mocked their accents, prompting the injunction. BA sources later announced that the pair had been dismissed. An airline spokesman stated:

“All forms of racism are completely unacceptable, and we take allegations of this nature very seriously. These two individuals are no longer employed by us.”
