According to her, she was riding her bicycle in the streets of her home when a car suddenly hit her. She seriously fractured her skull.

Fortunately, she survived. She attended Lane Community College, University of Oregon, graduating with a Bachelor of Science in Theater and Arts. She began her career after joining The Sunday Company, an improvisational theatre school in Los Angeles. In 2000, she debuted in the movie ‘Eyes to Heaven’. The same year, she did two other movies ‘Jacks’ and ‘Coyote Ugly’. In that year, she appeared in the popular TV series ‘Curb Your Enthusiasm’ which completed its 7^th episode in 2020. She is also an actor in the TV series ‘It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia’, which first started in 2005 and is still continuing its journey.

On 27^th September 2008, she married her co-actor in the show, Rob McElhenney. It is that very show which made her famous. She gave birth to her first son, Axel Lee on 1^st September 2010. In 2012, she had her second son Leo Grey on April 5. She also appeared in the famous ‘The Simpsons’ in 2016 in the episode ‘The Girl Code’.
