As part of the build-up to Super Bowl 55, Kansas City Chiefs outside linebackers coach Britt Reid recently spoke with the media.
An accident is being investigated by the Kansas City Police Department on Thursday night not far from the team practice facilities that saw Britt Reid hit two other cars.
There were three people injured in the crash, including children aged 5 and 4. Kansas City police officer Dave Jackson told that the 5-year-old sustained life-threatening injuries.
At that time, Britt Reid was not traveling to Tampa for Super Bowl 55 with the team, the team confirmed. On Friday evening, the Chiefs released a statement that they were aware of the collision, were “in the process of gathering information” and they had “no further comment at this time.”
Kansas City TV station 41 Action News reported that an alcohol odor was reported by a Kansas City police officer, according to a search warrant. The station also said that Reid told police he had two or three drinks, according to the warrant.
