The surprising decision by Moana Hope last night to drop out of the challenge bewilders many of her fans. But Moana decided that was the best option for her. She was getting sick. She had been sick for eight days and had lost 7kg weight. Moana later revels,
“I started getting sick at probably start of the week. I couldn’t eat or drink without it coming out the other end. So I lost 7kilos in 5 days. I was fainting as well and passing out…So I got to the point when I was getting super depressed like I’m the only non retired athlete here…It’s probably gonna jeopardize my season with the North. So putting my mental and physical health first was definitely most important thing.”

When Moana Hope was first asked to enter the competition, she had said,
“When I was asked to do the show and I was like ‘Do you know who I am?’ I’m scared of snakes, spiders, sharks… the dark… Everything on the island”
