According to Edmund’s testimony in Brisbane Supreme Court, on the day of her death, Patricia and her husband were having a heated argument.

Their marriage was seriously troubled and the two continuously fought over financial problems. Due to work injury, Patricia’s husband was unable to contribute enough money to the family.

Continuing his testimony, Riggs said Patricia had found a list of escorts or sex workers in his pocket. Following this revelation, she also admitted to cheating on her husband with men she met in swimming coaching and nightclubs.

In the middle of the explosive fight, Patricia spat on the face of her husband. In anger, Edmund pushed her and she hit her head on a bedpost.

Immediately after the incident, the convicted claimed his wife started convulsing on the floor. Within seconds, before he knew what to do, Patricia was dead.

The late, Patricia Anne Riggs, was born on 5 May 1967. During the time of her disappearance, she was 34 years in age. Their former family home was in Brisbane, Queensland.

Her husband, Edmund Ian Riggs, is currently 60 years old and he was born in the year 1958. The two had been married for decades before the tragedy struck their life.

The Queensland man said his brain “exploded” when he realized his wife was dead. He then secretly buried her on the outskirts of Caboolture. A few years later when he saw heavy machinery at that site, he dug out the skeletons and reburied them in the family home.

In 2016, a new man bought the house and found the skeleton relics while renovating. Then the crime of 60-year-old got into scrutiny.

For years, Edmund told his children that their mom had abandoned them and runoff from the family. His lie was caught only last week.

Patricia and her husband have four children- Tilly, Harriet, Ned and Mac.

Edmund Ian Riggs will be sentenced on later date.
