Shawn Wessel has made it to the headlines after his audition in The Voice Australia. He was able to turn all four judges’ chairs through his performance of the 1969 hit single Whipping Post, which he played with an acoustic guitar.
Shawn is a former elite rugby league player he has played for the Cronulla Sharks in the National Rugby League. But his career was short-lived. He played in the forwards against Melbourne Storm in his debut NRL match, which the Sharks lost. His musical influences have been classic blues and rock artists.

Shawn had started his job as a carpenter during the processing of the selection for an appearance in the Blind Audition. He initially declined the offer but could not resist the feeling of performing in front of an audience and the four chairs.
Shaun was a former football player, he played for the Cronulla Sharks. He played 3 games for the team and was delivered in 2003.
