Tim Smith grew up in Virginia, the third generation of his family to be moonshiners. He learned the art of shining from his father, just as his father had learned it from his father. Tim was just five years old when he observed a police raid on a distillery.
After his father passed away, Mr. Smith took over the family business. With his dog, Camo, he distilled illicit shine in the Backwoods of Virginia. He had a license to manufacture and sell moonshine after years of working behind the scenes.
