‘Current affairs’ host Lisa Wilkinson quit the Today Show on last October. Deborah Knight came to fill the space up temporarily on the program. Later Deb opened up in a candid interview with news.com.au, that she didn’t consult with Lisa before taking over her place. She told,
‘She was pretty occupied with what was going on with her.’
However, Deb clarified that there was no bitterness between the two of them and they have been in touch through call and text. She said,
“I spoke to her towards the end of last year a couple of times, and I’ve been in contact with her since she’s started her new role and I wish her all the best because I think she’s a wonderful individual.”
