The legendary football player and coach Mike Ditka has suffered a heart attack earlier this week. In a statement released Ditka’s agent assures that he is recovering at a quick pace. He said,
“Coach Ditka had a mild heart attack earlier this week. Doctors inserted a pacemaker, and he is doing much better. He appreciates the outpouring of support and expects to be home soon.”
Chicago Sun-Times reports that the former coach had been playing golf before he suffered a heart attack.
