New Zealand Australian promoter, Harry Maurice Miller (6 January 1934 – 4 July 2018) was born in New Zealand and grew up in the Auckland suburb of Grey Lynn. In 1963, he moved to Australia.
He is the only son of Jewish parents, Sadie and Jim Miller. His age was only two when his father, worked as an indenting agent, broke his spine in a fall. Later his father died after six years.
Recalling the memory, Miller said,
“The Jewish community bundled me off to a Jewish orphanage in Wellington … called Dextons.”He kicked off his career with a show business running a ‘Peepshow.’
